About Lawrence Locke
I love to laugh even if I'm laughing at myself. I am funny, intelligent, engaging, and passionate. I am, in one word, an actor. I was practically born on the stage. As a child I would always get a speaking part in Christmas shows because I could memorize the lines. I enjoyed every minute of it and have never lost that love for performing.
Acting has taught me about the value of a good story so I have fallen in love with the art of storytelling. I love to take people on a journey. One of my favourite things is to watch a movie I've seen before with somebody who hasn't. Then, when the moments I enjoyed in that movie come, I watch their reaction, simply for the joy of watching them experience that moment. I would love to be the source of that moment for my listeners.
I am a voracious reader. I have always enjoyed allowing a gifted writer to take me on a journey. The rich vibrant world-building of C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia or Tolkien's The Hobbit have been etched in my mind since childhood. Now, I want my voice to be that source for others, through commercials, narration or teaching.
I am a married father-of-two and the grandfather of three and am the oldest of four children. Since an early age, my parents instilled in me the belief that I could do anything I set my mind to. I have never doubted that belief and so, have never been afraid of trying new things.
